Ventra is a typeface based off Optima and influenced by mid-century modern furniture design. Typefaces inspired by the 1950’s are usually made for display and are often overly stylized. I wanted the typeface to maintain a level of class while still being fun. I modeled the design of the type specimen poster off vintage catalogs and advertisements.
